Moon Whisper Tea

In a world that constantly tells women we aren’t enough… The High Priestess reminds us that we are. She comes to tell us that we already have all the answers we seek. She reminds us that connection to the material world will only take us so far. The Magician taught The Fool how to use the tools of the universe while The High Priestess shows him how to use the tools of his soul.

She is shown seated between two pillars to represent light and dark and symbolize balance. This is easily connected to the follicular phase because at a time in the month where we feel the most active and productive, rest is equally important.

This morning’s tea was inspired by TheHigh Priestess. She is mysterious, dreamy and deeply intuitive. Her connection to the moon made me think we should do an evening tea blend. I find my deepest connection to the divine and my intuition through dreaming and divination. I pulled a special blend to promote deep sleep and encourage lucid dreams. Beware… if there are secrets bubbling under the surface of the soul, this is sure to draw them out.

All good things come in moderation. Use this blend sparingly, these herbs are not for everyday consumption.

The Recipe

I blend similar to the way I bake. A little of this, a dash of that, and always measuring the best ingredients with your heart. I often carry the carefreeness of the Fool around my kitchen with me. Generally, I try to have around 2 teaspoons of herbs for each cup of water. You can mix and match the amounts of herbs depending on what you are wanting to call in to your day. Listen to your intuition.

Blue Lotus and Mugwort make a powerful combination - if you do not use the herbs frequently, be sparring on the amounts or just choose one. Do not use if pregnant.

  • Blue Lotus for intuition and dream enhancement. Often used to open the mind to spiritual insights.

  • Mugwort to call in lucid dreaming and visions. Found in many rituals for connecting to the divine.

  • Chamomile for protection and calming of the body and mind.

  • Lavender to enhance physic sensitivity and emotional.

  • Rose to connect this intuition to your heart. This way you don’t just see what your dreams are showing you, but you feel it.

Steep for about 10 minutes in very hot/almost boiling water. Be sure it’s covered to keep the good stuff in. Add a little honey for sweetness if you wish.

(Ex: 1 tsp Blue Lotus, 1/2 tsp Mugwort, 1 tsp chamomile, and a dash of rose)

As you sip your tea say aloud, “I am open and welcome for intuitive truth from the divine.” Keep a notebook by your bed and write down any dreams you remember whenever you wake up.

XOXO,
