The Emperor’s Sacred Structure Tea

In a world where men are given a bad reputation by the societal view of toxic masculinity (and by the actions of many who embody that), the Emperor reminds us that true masculinity is found in the softness. It is found in loyalty and kindness. The Emperor reminds us that balance and control are not ruled in selfishness and greed but in love. True power lies in your ability to see beyond yourself.

This morning’s tea was inspired by The Emperor. He is the symbol of structure and protection. He represents all the best parts of masculinity. He would need a blend to keep him grounded and encourage stability. He would value protection and warding. He calls for the balance of fire and earth.

The Recipe

I blend similar to the way I bake. A little of this, a dash of that, and always measuring the best ingredients with your heart. I often carry the carefreeness of the Fool around my kitchen with me. Generally, I try to have around 2 teaspoons of herbs for each cup of water. You can mix and match the amounts of herbs depending on what you are wanting to call in to your day. Remember that too much control is not always a good thing.

  • Nettle to ward of harm and aid in protection. Also known to ward off bad energy.

  • Chasteberry for hormonal wisdom. Helps to regulate cycles and support ovulation. It balances progesterone which is helpful during ovulation.

  • Ginger for strength and courage. Often consumed for confidence.

  • Cinnamon for prosperity and abundance.

Steep for about 10 minutes in very hot/almost boiling water. Be sure it’s covered to keep the good stuff in. Add a little honey for sweetness if you wish.

(Ex: 1 tsp Nettle, 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, 1 tsp Ginger, and 1/2 tsp Chasteberry)

Steep for 10 minutes and enjoy.

Stand steady in all you have built. Structure will become your sanctuary.

XOXO,

Maykayla
