The Empress’s Garden

In a world where mothers are told to take care of everything and everyone around them, The Empress reminds us that we are worthy of pouring just as much love into ourselves.

The Empress teaches the Fool the true meaning of femininity. She explains the power held in the phases and cycles of womanhood. She reminds the fool that you must nurture important things with great love and affection but that you must also nurture yourself.

This morning’s tea was inspired by The Empress. She the symbol of all thing’s beauty, creative and abundance. She is the universal mother, and she is deeply connected to nature. It’s not surprise she showed up for me during on the first day ovulation and these energies coexist so naturally and beautifully.

To build a blend with the essence of both energies, I knew we needed something to focus on nourishing our womb, deeply grounding, and soft.

The Recipe

I blend similar to the way I bake. A little of this, a dash of that, and always measuring the best ingredients with your heart. I often carry the carefreeness of the Fool around my kitchen with me. Generally, I try to have around 2 teaspoons of herbs for each cup of water. You can mix and match the amounts of herbs depending on what you are wanting to call in to your day. Focus on nourishing yourself.

  • Red Raspberry Leaf as a foundation. It is deeply nourishing to the female body during each cycle. It also supports reproductive health.

  • Chasteberry for hormonal wisdom. Helps to regulate cycles and support ovulation. This magical herb works softly, just like the empress. It has best results with regular use.

  • Rose for emotional balance and openness. To keep the Heart Chakra balanced.

  • Hibiscus for vitality and life force. Also to add a little beauty in the name of the Empress, this herb creates a deep red color for a sprinkle of whimsy.

Steep for about 10 minutes in very hot/almost boiling water. Be sure it’s covered to keep the good stuff in. Add a little honey for sweetness if you wish.

(Ex: 1 tsp Red Raspberry Leaf, 1/2 tsp Rose, 1 tsp Hibiscus, and a dash of Chasteberry)

It might sound silly but talk to your tea as you blend it. Fill it with your intentions and stir them in three times. Best if you can drink in nature with your toes in the grass for a deeply grounding experience.

XOXO,
